In the 17th Century, two Lowestoft women named Amy Denny and Rose Cullender were hanged for Witchcraft. Their trial was presided over by Sir Matthew Hale, Lord Chief Justice of the King's Bench.

Reprinted in this edition, limited to 500 individually numbered copies, is the original 17th Century trial report.

Also included is a short introduction from Suffolk Archivist Ivan Bunn, noted historian and co-author of A Trial of Witches, a study into the law and history surrounding this saga of Lowestoft's history.
